Mojo Kojo x Urban Outfitters USA

It was a cold November afternoon in 2016, I was in the library, applying for graduate jobs. I was bored and hungry so I came out for a lunch break. I was nibbling on my tuna-mayo-sweetcorn sandwich (a library classic) when I saw an email inbox with the words, 'Urban Outfitters x Mojo Kojo' in the preview email. What?

I read the email within seconds, a menswear buyer from Urban Outfitters had bought my item, wore it in the office and everyone loved it. The email basically read that he wanted me to create a Urban Outfitters USA X Mojo Kojo collection. My heart, it stopped. What!? I called my mum immediately...

ME - Mum! Guess what!? Urban Outfitters want to collaborate with me! 

Mum - Oh wow son that's great, who are they?

ME - Mum! One of the biggest retailers in the world!

Mum - OH WOW WOW THANK YOU JESUS THIS IS GREAT.

The rest is history, fast forward a very long email thread and the first Mojo Kojo x Urban Outfitters collection was made. It officially launched in June 2017 and the collection sold out within 2 months. 2 more collections had been made since then, December 2017 and February 2018. Amazing stuff. Pat on the back Koye, pat on the back.
