Good Friday Project 2020/2021

Remember the 'Good Friday 2020 Project?' This was an idea I thought of to assist a local school 20 minutes away from the Mojo Kojo office in Lagos, Nigeria. Just a quick recap of it...

It was during Black Friday weekend and instead of discounting our products massively like everyone else, we decided not to. We kept our original prices and donated 15% of all our sales during that weekend to Ado Primary School.

Thanks to your purchases & with little marketing from us, we managed to secure enough funds to buy a small generator for the school who missed about 8 months worth of school during the pandemic government closures. The kids couldn't go to school and the of course the school suffered without any school fees! They didn't have a generator so when there was a power cut, they couldn't use any electrical items.

We're still a small company, but we saw the effects of COVID-19 on communities in Lagos and wanted to help out in some way.

Why buy a generator you ask? - Well, first of all, a generator is used by many people because of the regular electricity power cuts in Lagos. As you can imagine this sucks big time and will severely limit people.

P.S. 'We did it joe...'
